Description

Yellow Bouquet (Yellow Bouquet), also known as CGN 22181, is a wild hot pepper variety from Peru of the species Capsicum baccatum. The plant remains relatively compact – around 90 cm high and 60 cm wide – but is exceptionally productive and can yield over 100 fruits in one season. The peppers are attractive, yellow and teardrop-shaped with a pointed tip, often with a purple hue; their flavour is sweet, fruity and citrusy, reminiscent of Lemon Drop. Heat level: 25 000–30 000 SHU.

Yellow Bouquet (Yellow Bouquet) is an interesting choice for lovers of fragrant Capsicum baccatum varieties. Unlike many representatives of the species, the plant does not grow excessively large, yet it still produces an impressive quantity of fruit.

The yellow peppers have a complex sweet-fruity flavour with a citrus note, compared to Lemon Drop. Their heat is moderate enough not to mask the finer aromas. The fruits are excellent both fresh and dried, then ground into aromatic chilli powder.

Yellow Bouquet  is particularly suited to fish dishes and poultry, where its fruity and citrus notes can stand out. We also recommend the fruits for fresh use, as well as drying and making aromatic chilli powder.

💡 Tip from Urban Botaniks: With Yellow Bouquet  (Yellow Bouquet), the strongest highlight is the combination of a compact plant, over 100 fruits and a complex citrus flavour. If the harvest is large, some of the yellow fruits can be used fresh and the rest dried and ground – according to the producer, the variety makes excellent aromatic chilli powder.
