ROOT!T Digital Thermostat for Seed Germination Heat Mats

ROOT!T Thermostat for Heat Mat is an electronic device that gives you full control over the temperature in the root zone during germination / rooting. By switching heat mats on and off, the device maintains the precisely set desired temperature (10-30ºC). It is compatible with all ROOT!T heat mats.

Preparing for use:

1. Place the temperature sensor in the propagator or in the area to be heated. It can be suspended using the rubber suction cup or placed in the substrate (image 3).
2. Place the thermostat outside the propagator or growing area – the thermostat and output socket must always be kept in a dry place! DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER OR LIQUIDS!
3. Plug the heat mat or other heating device into the output socket.
4. Connect the thermostat to the mains supply – the POWER indicator should light up.
5. Proceed to set the desired temperature to be maintained.

Setting the thermostat:

The display shows the current temperature at the sensor. Press UP to display degrees Fahrenheit ºF or DOWN to display degrees Celsius ºC – the corresponding indicator will light up.

1. Press the SET button to show the desired temperature on the display; after 3 seconds, it will return to the current temperature.
2. Press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds; the display will start flashing. Press UP or DOWN to select the desired temperature to be maintained.
3. Press SET again to return the display to the current temperature; if left untouched, it will return to the current temperature display after 30 seconds.

The HEATING indicator will light up if the current temperature is lower than the desired temperature – the heat mat / heating device is now ON. The HEATING indicator will not light up if the current temperature is higher than the desired temperature – the heat mat / heating device is now OFF.
