CANNA Terra Seed Mix 25 L - Soil Mix for Seed Germination

CANNA Terra Seed Mix is a soil mix* that is exceptionally suitable for germinating the seeds of your favourite plants. It combines wonderfully with CANNA Start.

Directions for use:

• Sowing in Terra Seed Mix - Sow the seeds at a depth of 2-3mm (max. 5mm) in Terra Seed Mix soil mix, placed in a container with a maximum diameter of 5cm. Spray the growing medium regularly. At first, the seedlings use the energy reserves of the seed itself. Keep the seeds warm (20 – 25°C) and provide the necessary humidity, for example by using a seed germination chamber. Lift the lid of the seed germination chamber as soon as the seedling emerges.
• Young seedlings - Young seedlings are very delicate, so do not place them in direct sunlight or near a powerful greenhouse lamp, as they may burn. Give young plants a nutrient solution with a low EC (1.2) and add CANNA RHIZOTONIC to strengthen the roots. Seedlings are ready for planting when they form two to three leaves.
• Outdoor growing - Although it is possible to sow seeds directly in the ground and wait for them to germinate, the success rate is considerably lower than when this process is carried out indoors. Outdoor soil temperature does not provide ideal conditions for seed germination. Place the emerging seedlings somewhere they can acclimatise to outdoor conditions – for example, on a balcony. • Cuttings and what comes next - Once plants develop a good root system in CANNA Terra Seed Mix, you can transfer them to a growing medium such as CANNA Terra Professional, CANNA Terra Professional Plus, CANNA Coco Professional Plus, CANNA Aqua Clay Pebbles or rockwool, where you will grow them until they reach maturity. CANNA's nutrient range includes the best specific combinations for each of these growing media, which will guarantee an optimal yield.
