🔌 Operating principle

When a different position is selected on the rotary switch, the controller supplies a different voltage to the fan motor. In this way, the speed and therefore the air flow change in five distinct stages.

This type of control is particularly suitable for compatible AC motors when reliable adjustment is required without the need for complex electronics.

 

📋 Installation and use

1. Mount the controller vertically on a stable wall.
2. Connect the power supply and fan to the corresponding terminals according to the VENTS wiring diagram.
3. If the motor has suitable thermal contacts, connect them to the controller's protection circuit.

VENTS VKF 4E 450 is a professional axial duct fan for systems that require high airflow at relatively low resistance. The model is designed for direct installation in an air duct and provides a maximum airflow of up to 4680 m³/h at a power rating of 250 W. Its robust steel housing with polymer coating, single-phase AC motor with ball bearings and integrated thermal protection make it suitable for greenhouses, warehouses, production premises and other professional ventilation installations.

VENTS VKF 4E 450 is part of the industrial series of axial fans VENTS OV / OVK / VKF. The main difference of the VKF is its construction designed for direct installation in a ventilation duct, allowing it to be easily integrated into supply and extract ventilation systems.

⚠️ Important: VKF 4E 450 is an high-flow axial fan, intended mainly for systems with relatively low aerodynamic resistance. In systems with a high pressure drop, multiple bends, long ducts or highly restrictive filters, it is important that the fan be sized according to the actual operating point, rather than only according to the maximum free airflow.

VENTS RT-10 is a compact mechanical room thermostat for automatic control of fans, heating and air-conditioning systems according to room temperature. It allows the desired temperature to be set in the range +10°C to +30°C and, depending on the connection method, can switch equipment on or off when the set temperature threshold is reached. It operates at 220–240 V / 50–60 Hz, has IP40 protection and is intended for indoor wall mounting.

VENTS RT-10 is an easy and reliable solution for automating temperature control in rooms where ventilation, heating or air-conditioning systems operate. Instead of switching the fan or other equipment on and off manually, the RT-10 monitors room temperature and controls the electrical load according to a preset temperature threshold.

The desired temperature is set using the rotary control on the front panel, with an operating range of +10°C to +30°C. The thermostat can operate with different logic depending on the electrical connection – the contacts can open or close as the temperature rises or falls. This allows the RT-10 to be used both for controlling ventilation/cooling and in applications where heating control is required.

For example, when used with a fan, the controller can be configured so that the fan starts when the set temperature is reached and runs until the temperature falls below the specified threshold. In another configuration, the fan can run until a preset temperature is reached.

The RT-10 has a relatively small hysteresis of about 0.5–1°C, allowing the temperature to be maintained within a narrow range around the selected value without excessively frequent switching of the connected equipment.

The housing is made of plastic, allowing discreet wall mounting. The manufacturer recommends installing the thermostat at approximately 1.5 m above the floor, away from windows, doors, heating appliances and other sources that may affect actual temperature measurement.

⚡ Maximum permissible load

The maximum load depends on the connection configuration used.

For the configuration with higher permissible load:

💡 Advice from Urban Botaniks: When controlling ventilation, place the RT-10 where it reflects the actual average temperature of the room. Avoid direct airflow from a fan or air conditioner, as well as immediate proximity to lighting and heating units – otherwise the thermostat may respond to the local temperature rather than the actual conditions in the room.
