Faran Analogue Hygrostat is a practical solution for automatically maintaining optimum humidity in plant-growing spaces. Instead of constantly monitoring and switching on the humidifier manually, the device controls relative humidity and manages the connected humidifier according to the preset value.

Thanks to the analogue control, setup is quick and intuitive. No apps, Wi-Fi connection or digital programming are needed – simply set the desired humidity level with the rotary potentiometer and the hygrostat automatically takes care of the rest.

The device is designed to work with humidifiers such as Faran HR15, Faran HR50 and other standard humidifiers controlled by switching the power supply on and off. When the set humidity is reached, the hygrostat cuts power to the humidifier; when it drops below the set value, it switches it on again.

For best results, the manufacturer recommends installation at plant canopy height and away from the humidifier's direct airflow, to avoid inaccurate readings.

📋 Instructions for use

1. Mount the hygrostat on a wall at plant level.
2. Avoid mounting directly next to the humidifier or in the direct path of the water mist.
3. Connect the humidifier to the hygrostat.
4. Set the desired relative humidity using the rotary control.
5. Leave the system running for several hours and check the humidity with a thermo-hygrometer.
6. If necessary, fine-tune the setting until the desired level is reached.

⚠️ Important: For the most accurate readings, place the hygrostat away from the humidifier’s direct airflow, heaters and ventilation openings. This gives a true humidity reading in the plant zone and more precise climate control.

VENTS Boost series turbine fans:

 

• Application. Intended for supply or extract ventilation systems requiring powerful airflow: commercial, office and other public or industrial premises, as well as rooms with high humidity.
• Design. The housing is made of polymer. The conical polymer impeller with specially profiled blades increases the air-flow velocity, resulting in higher airflow and pressure than standard axial fans. The specially designed diffuser, impeller and outlet air-flow straightener ensure smooth air distribution and provide the best combination of high airflow, increased pressure and low noise. The fan housing is fitted with a sealed terminal box for connection to the mains.
• Motor. VENTS Boost fans are equipped with single-phase, high-efficiency, three-speed asynchronous motors with low energy consumption. The motor is fitted with thermal switches for overheating protection. Ball bearings provide a long service life (approximately 40 000 hours of continuous operation). The motor ingress-protection rating is IPX4.
• Speed control. The fan has no speed switch; the desired speed is set manually when first connecting the power cable.

VEAB CWK 315-3-2.5 is a professional duct water cooler for Ø315 mm air ducts, designed to cool air in ventilation and air-conditioning systems using cold water. The heat exchanger has copper tubes and aluminium fins, while the built-in stainless-steel tray collects the resulting condensate. This model is suitable for both central ventilation systems and cooling individual rooms or greenhouses.

CWK 315-3-2.5 is installed directly in a round air duct and uses chilled water as the energy carrier. This allows the air passing through the ventilation system to be cooled without the need for a direct evaporative refrigerant heat exchanger.

💨 Cooling capacity

Cooling capacity is not a fixed value. It depends on airflow and air temperature, humidity, as well as the temperature and flow rate of the chilled water.

For example, with water at 6/12°C, the VEAB table gives the following indicative results for CWK 315-3-2.5:

💧 Control and automation

The CWK itself is a water-to-air heat exchanger. For automatic temperature control, the system can be supplemented with:

temperature controller → sensor → control valve → actuator → frost protection.

For example, VEAB specifies for the CWK 315-3-2.5 a two-way valve ZTV15-1.6 (Kvs 1.6) as a suitable option in its selection table.

💦 Condensate drainage

When warm, humid air is cooled, the heat exchanger temperature may fall below the dew point and condensation may form.

For this reason, the CWK is equipped with a stainless-steel tray that collects the water and allows it to drain through a G½" drain connection.

🛠️ Construction and maintenance

The heat exchanger uses copper tubes and aluminium fins, while the casing is made of protected sheet metal. The opening cover provides access to the interior for periodic cleaning and inspection.

Rubber seals on the round connections make integration into the ventilation system easier.
