• The “Tropea Rossa Tonda” variety has been cultivated for more than 200 years. It has a round shape and dark red outer layer, with a lighter core.
• The 5-gram seed packet contains approximately 1500 seeds.
• Mid-late variety, with a 110-day growing cycle.
• A characteristic quality of this variety is its sweet taste, which makes it exceptionally suitable for fresh consumption.

Growing recommendations

• Sowing is carried out in autumn, winter or spring.
• Plant with a spacing of approximately 20–25 cm between plants, so they have room to develop their bulbs.
• Maintain moderate soil moisture. Avoid infrequent watering with large amounts of water. Prefers lighter soils with good aeration.
• Harvest when the bulbs are fully formed and the skin is dry and coloured—this ensures a maximally sweet taste!
• After harvest, you can "braid" the bulbs and leave them to dry in a ventilated, dry place for longer storage.
