Hydroponic and Irrigation Systems

These connectors are ideal for reducing from 13mm pipe to 4mm pipe when using large systems. They are inserted in-line at the point where the AQUAvalve valve or aquaPot is located. They provide a watertight connection, unlike many other types of reducing fittings.

Recommendations for use

• Place the pump on a stable, level surface with vibration-absorbing pads (rubber feet) to minimise noise.
• Connect each of the 8 outlets using flexible tubing (usually Ø 4 mm) — use all of them or only the required number, depending on your needs.
• Adjust the flow to the volume of the system or tank — for smaller tanks, you can reduce it to a low flow rate.
• Keep the inlet filters clean and dust-free to avoid a drop in output.
• Make sure the pump is positioned above the water level or protected by a backflow safety measure so that it does not draw water back in during an interruption.

Benefits

The Hailea ACO-9630 air pump combines power and flexibility: with a flow rate of up to 16 L/min and 8 independent outlets, it is suitable for large, multi-point systems. Its low power consumption (15 W), adjustability and quiet operation make it an excellent choice for aerating tanks, hydroponic systems, aquariums and other installations requiring a reliable oxygen flow.

The AutoPot 1Pot XL system is extremely versatile and can be used for a wide range of plant types and sizes. Seasonal flowering plants and perennial shrubs thrive and produce an abundance of flowers and foliage due to the unique action of the AQUAvalve valve, which is designed to allow the plant to go through a wet and dry cycle.

All AutoPot products work:

• WITHOUT ELECTRICITY
• WITHOUT PUMPS
• WITHOUT TIMERS

Gravity pressure is all that is required from the water reservoir or barrel. The systems are undoubtedly among the easiest to use and can be left unattended for weeks, thanks to the ability of the AQUAvalve valve to deliver everything the plant requires.

Developed by AutoPot to meet the needs of ambitious growers, with a huge capacity of 25 litres, the AutoPot 1Pot XL system is ideal for growers who want to cultivate large plants and achieve even greater yields. This original design has a clam-shaped tray that accommodates the large 25-litre pot. The pot's round base allows the grower to easily rotate a large plant while the pot is still in the tray. Ideal for large plants such as blueberry bushes or Japanese maple, the AutoPot 1Pot XL system can be used as a standalone system or connected to larger reservoirs to create extensive systems of any size or configuration. The AutoPot 1Pot XL system is supplied with all necessary fittings and an AQUAvalve valve, which control the water supply to every plant in the system, ensuring fresh, balanced nutrition throughout their life cycle.

The AutoPot 1Pot XL system is easily expandable, as many pots can be connected to one reservoir. Please see examples of typical layouts using 6mm or 16mm pipe. The pots and trays can easily be moved as desired; if plants become too large, they can be spaced farther apart with ease. Once assembled and connected to a reservoir filled with nutrient solution, this exceptionally versatile system will take care of all your needs.

All you need to do is remember to refill your reservoir from time to time. Reservoirs and filters are sold separately.

The AutoPot 1Pot XL system includes:

• 1x 1Pot XL tray and lid
• 1x 25L pot
• 1x 6 mm built-in tap
• 1x AQUAvalve valve
• 1x 1.5 metres of 6mm pipe
• 1x root control disc

Tip: Always use a 6mm or 16mm filter with every reservoir. Use quality compost, soil or coconut with a 30-50% mix of perlite.

PLANTiT 19mm hose outlet. The outlet for a drum / bucket is designed for various water recirculation applications in hydroponic growing.

• for hose: ⌀ 19mm or 3/4 inch

• Marix Disc
• Prevents soil/compost from escaping the pots and entering the irrigation system.

A key component in the easy2GO kit. The AutoPot AQUAvalve valve cover, used together with the AQUAvalve valve, allows the grower to create their own simple yet highly effective hobby system.

All that is needed is a shallow tray of any shape or size. The user simply places the AQUAvalve valve in the tray and fits the AutoPot AQUAvalve valve cover over it. The cover is made from heavy-duty composite material, so no weight is needed to hold it in place. Then simply connect the AQUAvalve valve to a reservoir using 6mm tubing and a filter. Ensure that the pot is no smaller than 5 litres. If you use small pots, you risk drowning the plants. A small plant in a small pot will not appreciate sitting in deep water, as its root system will be unable to breathe; this does not apply to bog or carnivorous plants. If you intend to grow carnivorous plants with this method, please use rainwater only.

The BOYU S-4000 air pump is made from high-polymer composite rubber for a longer service life and reliability. It features low operating noise, high air output and requires no oil lubrication. It also has electronic inlet ratio control for high efficiency and low energy consumption.

Full product information here!

This system is designed as a standalone filter for the immediate removal of chlorine and sediment from water. It is rated to remove up to 99% of chlorine and can clean up to 90% of sediment above 5 microns. Having chlorine- and sediment-free water is essential for growing healthy plants and maintaining beneficial microorganisms, bacteria and fungi in the root zone and growing media. These microbes cannot survive in the presence of chlorine. Chlorine-free water is also essential for organic fruit and vegetables, hydroponics and every method of organic gardening in general. This filter is not designed to reduce the parts per million (PPM) of your water. Most of these PPM particles are minerals, which can only be removed by reverse osmosis systems.

REMOVES: chlorine, sediment, dirt, rust, oxidising herbicides and pesticides, volatile organic contaminants (chemical contaminants, benzenes, toluene, oils, trichloromethanes, detergents, polychlorinated biphenyls)

When to replace the filters:

• sediment filter - approximately every 8000 litres of treated water or if clogged
• carbon filter – approximately every 12000 litres of treated water or depending on use (see example below*)

*Example use:

• 1 hour per week (960L/month) – replace the filter once a year
• 1 hour per day, 4 days a week (3840L/month) – replace the filter once every 3 months
• 1 hour per day, every day (7200L/month) – replace the filter once every 7 weeks
• 30 minutes per day, every day (3600L/month) – replace the filter once every 3.5 months

*Replacement time is relative, as it depends on the hardness of the water you use.

Warranty:

• The product has a 1-year warranty.
• When you register your product here, you automatically receive another year of warranty, for a total of 2 YEARS PRODUCT WARRANTY.

Optimal irrigation with a Flood-and-Drain system

A Flood-and-Drain system is a vital component of any hydroponic system. Its primary function is to provide a constant supply of nutrients and water to plant roots, ensuring their growth and optimal development. This system is highly effective for irrigation and drainage, especially for plants that require a continuous supply of moisture and nutrients.

How does the Flood-and-Drain system work?

The drainage system works with a water pump that moves water and nutrients from a reservoir to the container holding the plant roots. When the container is full, the water drains back into the reservoir. This process is repeated several times a day, providing plants with the necessary amount of water and nutrients.

Recommended products to combine: A Flood-and-Drain system is a key element in hydroponic systems, and we recommend using it together with other products such as grow tables, lighting systems, and plant nutrients. Some recommended products are:

• Grow table 1.02 x 1.06 m
• Grow table 1.06 x 2.02 m
• LED grow lighting
• Nutrients for hydroponic plants
