Dimlux temperature sensor
The Dimlux temperature sensor enables the Dimlux Maxi Controller to dim the lights based on the ambient temperature in the grow room. If the set value is exceeded, the lights will dim to keep the temperature under control. If the temperature remains elevated despite dimming, half of the dimmed lights will be switched off in a checkerboard pattern. If the temperature continues to rise, all lights will be switched off for at least 20 minutes.
- measures temperature levels in the room
- precise, professional equipment
- 10m cable
The Dimlux temperature sensor (for the Dimlux Maxi Controller) is an additional accessory that is absolutely essential for every professional indoor growing facility. The main function of this product is to provide accurate real-time data on the climate in the grow room back to the onboard computer of the Dimlux Maxi Controller. With this sensor, the lights can be dimmed according to temperature-specific data. This sensor is also required to calculate VPD* and potentially to activate heating or a heater.
- What is vapour pressure deficit (VPD)? Vapour pressure deficit is the difference between the water vapour pressure in 100% saturated air at a given temperature (the water vapour pressure in the leaves) and the actual water vapour pressure in the air. A high VPD value increases the plant's transpiration rate (the release of moisture through the leaves) and increases the movement of nutrients through the plant's xylem, while a low VPD value slows the movement of nutrients through the plant.
