Staal & Plast Polystyrene Glue is a professional adhesive developed specifically for assembling, extending and repairing EBB & Flow trays made from high-impact polystyrene (HIPS). The formula is made from the same material used to manufacture Staal & Plast trays, ensuring an exceptionally strong, waterproof and long-lasting bond between individual elements. It is suitable for both new installations and repairs to professional irrigation systems.

Staal & Plast polystyrene glue is specially developed for the manufacturer's professional EBB & Flow systems and guarantees reliable, durable bonding of individual trays. Unlike universal adhesives, it contains high-impact polystyrene (HIPS), identical to the material used to manufacture the trays themselves. This allows the materials to bond virtually as one, providing a strong, watertight joint.

When building large EBB & Flow tables, the manufacturer recommends initially fixing the trays with hot-melt glue for correct positioning and to maintain the required installation joint. The polystyrene glue is then used to permanently bond the individual trays together, providing a strong connection.

The adhesive is suitable for both new installations and repairing damaged trays. Once fully cured, it forms a strong, durable bond that withstands constant contact with water, nutrient solutions and the usual conditions in greenhouses and professional production facilities.

The manufacturer recommends applying the adhesive evenly and sparingly. Excessive amounts can damage the trays, and such damage is not covered by the warranty.

🔥 Heat

150 000–400 000 SHU

Lemon Colormix is a very hot pepper, with its range of 150 000 to 400 000 SHU placing it well above varieties such as Jalapeño and Cayenne. It is described as slightly hotter than Madame Jeanette.

⚠️ When handling ripe fruits, using gloves and avoiding contact with the eyes and sensitive skin is recommended.

🌱 Sowing and growing

Sowing: January – April
Location: indoors
Germination temperature: 20–30°C
Greenhouse: recommended for a higher yield
Planting outdoors: around the end of May
Support: tie taller plants to stakes
Pruning: may be used to form a compact plant.

In autumn, the plants can be moved into pots and brought indoors. On a bright windowsill, they can continue fruiting after the outdoor season ends.

🍴 Culinary use

The combination of intense heat and lemon aroma makes Lemon Colormix especially suitable for hot sauces, salsa, spicy marinades, Caribbean and Asian recipes, as well as drying and making an aromatic hot seasoning.

Because of the high 150 000–400 000 SHU, a relatively small amount is needed to add both intense heat and citrus character.

💡 Tip from Urban Botaniks: With Lemon Colormix, we would highlight two characteristics that truly set this product apart – the lemon aroma and variety of colours. They make this mix far more interesting than a standard super-hot pepper, while the 150 000–400 000 SHU range adds serious heat for experienced chilli lovers.

Organic red onion seeds – Traditional Florentine flavour

Description:
Grown with care for nature, these organic seeds produce fresh, mildly spicy red onions, ideal for salads. Originating from the Mediterranean, this variety adapts excellently to our conditions. When harvested early, the onions are small and fresh; if left to mature, they become long purple-red bulbs, also known as shallot onions. Their sweetness and spicy flavour make them suitable for many dishes.

Sowing method:

• Planting:
  • Pre-sowing: From March; transplant the seedlings after germination.
  • Direct sowing: From mid-April in rows, enriching the soil with compost or potting mix.
• Spacing:
  • For spring onions: 30 x 4 cm.
  • For large bulbs: thin to 30 x 20 cm.

The famous Italian Tropea Rossa Tonda red onion variety is here! The ideal salad onion!

• Harvest when the bulbs are fully formed and the skin is dry and coloured—this ensures a maximally sweet taste!
• After harvest, you can "braid" the bulbs and leave them to dry in a ventilated, dry place for longer storage.
