ROOT!T Natural Rooting Sponges 50 pcs
81,00 lei
ROOT!T Natural Rooting Sponges 50 pcs. rooting sponges—the best rooting medium on the market! Innovative organic technology—a blend of peat and tree bark bonded with a biopolymer—holds exactly the right amount of water while leaving pores for air to reach the roots.
- For seeds or cuttings / clones.
- Increase success rates for germination / cloning!
- Faster rooting, more vigorous roots!
- Organic and fully biodegradable!
- Easy to use and transplant!
The sponges have a double pre-formed hole: the first section is wide and shallow, making it the ideal depth for seeds; the second is long and narrow, ideal for cuttings / clones, holding them securely in place.
Seed germination:
- Soak the sponges in a solution of ROOT!T First Feed 125 ml in lukewarm water, making sure that excess water has drained away. Place the seed in the sponge at a depth of 3–5 mm. Tear off a small piece of sponge and cover the seed with it (photo 3 on the back of the pack). Place the tray of sponges and seeds in a warm place—25°C is ideal. ROOT!T heat mats are perfect for maintaining the ideal temperature. Seeds need between 24 hours and 10 days to emerge. The sponges must be damp, but not wet! Letting the sponges dry out or overwatering them can be fatal to seeds. If no liquid appears on their surface after squeezing the sponges, add a little water. Root development can be checked or measured by gently removing the sponges from the tray. Once roots are clearly visible, the young plants can be transplanted into your preferred container / substrate.
Rooting cuttings / clones:
- Soak the sponges in a solution of ROOT!T First Feed 125 ml in lukewarm water, ensuring that excess water has drained away. Take cuttings approximately 75 mm tall. The clone stem thickness (at the cut) should average 3–4 mm. Make a diagonal cut (45°) in the stem (from the mother plant) about 6 mm below the lowest branch and remove the lower leaves. When using ROOT!T Rooting Gel 150 ml, simply fill the sponge hole to the top in advance and gently place the clone inside. If the hole is too large, gently squeeze the sponge around the stem to seal it. Place in a propagator and in a warm location—25°C is ideal. Lightly mist with lukewarm water or ROOT!T Cutting MIST 100 ml to maintain a humid atmosphere.
