The MW804 MAX tester includes both a pH and an EC electrode. Both of them require maintenance.
All pH sensors have a limited lifespan and their response time becomes longer over time. EC sensors are more robust, but they too can be affected by the buildup of nutrient residues. So, do not forget to order Milwaukee electrode storage and cleaning solutions MA9015 and MA9016! They will help extend the service life of your instrument!

Here are our top five tips.

1. Always store it with the cap filled with buffer or MA9015 storage solution, and not water.
2. Clean your probe regularly by soaking it in MA9016 cleaning solution.
3. Calibrate after cleaning and/or storage before testing to correct changes in the pH and EC sensor.
4. Stir the nutrient solution gently for a faster result.
5. To minimise buildup, always rinse the probe with fresh tap water after every use!
