7 TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL URBAN GARDEN!

1. BEFORE YOU START

• See the tips and instructional video on the website www.babylongarden.com (or here.*).
• Download the Babylon Garden app and scan the QR codes in the consumables section (the hydroponic growing medium and the seeds).
• The Babylon Garden app will guide you through every step of the process of growing sprouts and microgreens.

2. SYSTEM PLACEMENT

• Keep the system at room temperature (19-21°C) near a natural light source, but away from direct sunlight.
• Keeping the system near an excessive heat source can lead to the formation of mould (mould is grey and has an unpleasant smell).

3. ABOUT THE SEEDS

• Most seed varieties can be used with the Babylon Garden System without any preparation. Wash your hands before handling the seeds.
• Seeds such as beans, wheatgrass, lentils and peas require pre-soaking in water before use.
• Do not exceed the recommended amount of seeds per tray. Seeds need some space between them to ensure proper ventilation and access to light.

4. ABOUT THE WATER

• The water in the Babylon Garden system should be at room temperature.
• The water can be tap water or filtered / still water.
• The system is designed for one-time water filling. If you leave the seeds to grow for longer than recommended in the app, you should fill the container with water up to 400 ml.

5. ABOUT THE HEMP MAT

• The hemp mat is for single use only and must be thoroughly moistened before use, as shown in the video on our website.

6. ABOUT HARVESTING THE READY SPROUTS / PLANTS

• Microgreens are ready when they are about 1 cm above the hemp growing mat, but they can also be grown to a more advanced stage (about 7-8 cm).
• Sprouts and microgreens can be stored on a dry paper towel in the refrigerator for a few days.

7. ABOUT MAINTENANCE

• Trays, grids and lids should be washed with a little soap before each use, either by hand or in the dishwasher.
