ROOT!T Dry Peat Free 60 Cell Filled Tray is a professional plant propagation tray containing 60 dry peat-free cubes made from natural coconut fibres and natural polymer. It is suitable both for seed germination and rooting cuttings. The cubes are lightweight, resistant to mould growth during storage and, once moistened, provide an ideal environment for developing a strong root system.

ROOT!T Dry Peat Free 60 Cell Filled Tray is designed for gardeners and professional growers seeking an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional peat pellets. The set includes 60 dry cubes, activated by soaking them in water or nutrient solution and ready for use once fully hydrated.

The cubes are made from coconut fibres and natural polymer, which gives them an excellent balance between moisture retention and oxygen access for young roots. Thanks to the octagonal cells in the tray, a small air gap forms around each cube, encouraging natural air pruning of the roots. This results in a denser, healthier root system and significantly faster establishment after transplanting.

Each cube has a specially shaped two-stage hole. The upper, wider part is intended for placing seeds, while the lower, narrower and deeper part is ideal for placing cuttings with ROOT!T Rooting Gel. This makes the product versatile for both seed propagation and plant cloning.

After transplanting, the cubes break down naturally in the substrate without hindering root development. The polystyrene tray itself is exceptionally sturdy and can be reused many times with new ROOT!T Dry Peat Free Refill cubes.

📋 Instructions for use

1. Place the tray in a mini greenhouse or suitable container.
2. Moisten the cubes with water or ROOT!T First Feed solution (5 ml per 1 litre of water) and leave them to hydrate fully, preferably overnight.
3. For seeds – place the seed in the upper hole and cover lightly with a small amount of material from the cube.
4. For cuttings – add ROOT!T Rooting Gel to the hole and place the cutting in the deeper part.
5. Maintain a temperature of 18–22°C for seeds or around 22°C for cuttings, as well as high humidity in the mini greenhouse.
6. Once a well-developed root system has formed, transplant the cubes directly into a pot or substrate.

💡 Tip from Urban Botaniks: For the highest germination rate, combine the tray with ROOT!T First Feed, ROOT!T Rooting Gel and a heated ROOT!T propagator. This will provide optimal humidity, temperature and a nutrient medium for fast germination and strong rooting.
