Dimlux Humidity (RH) Sensor

The Dimlux Humidity (RH) Sensor displays the ambient humidity in real time on the Dimlux Maxi controller . If the relative humidity sensor is connected, you can also connect a humidifier to the Maxi controller. If you want the vapor pressure deficit (VPD) * to be displayed, a plant temperature camera and the Dimlux temperature sensor will also be required.

  • measures relative humidity levels in the room
  • precise and professional equipment
  • 10m cable

*Note: see what Vapor Pressure Deficiency (VPD) is in the detailed description.

Dimlux Humidity (RH) Sensor
Dimlux Humidity (RH) Sensor

The next step to complete climate control in your indoor grow room involves adding the Dimlux Humidity (RH) Sensor . The humidity sensor reports relative humidity levels in the growing area directly to the Dimlux Maxi controller . Since temperature and humidity are interdependent, the two factors must be managed together. Calculating vapor pressure deficit (VPD) in rooms with maximum climate control ensures optimal conditions are achieved for the most impressive growing environment. Simply connect a humidifier to your controller and the sensor will start the on and off time, giving your plants the most natural setting for sustainable plant growth and development when grown indoors.

  1. What is vapor pressure deficit (VPD)? The vapor pressure deficit is the difference between the water vapor pressure in 100% saturated air at a given temperature ( leaf water vapor pressure ) and the actual water vapor pressure in the air . A high VPD value increases the plant's rate of transpiration (moisture release through the leaves) and increases the movement of nutrients through the xylem of the plant, while a low VPD value slows the movement of nutrients through the plant.
