This system is designed to be a stand-alone filter to instantly remove chlorine and sediment from water. It is rated for up to 99% chlorine removal and can clean up to 90% of sediments larger than 5 microns. Having chlorine and sediment-free water is essential for growing healthy plants and maintaining beneficial microorganisms, bacteria and fungi in the root zone and growing media. These microbes cannot survive in the presence of chlorine. Chlorine-free water is also essential for organic fruits and vegetables, hydroponics and any bioorganic gardening method in general. This filter is not designed to reduce the parts per million (PPM) of your water. The majority of these PPM particles are minerals that can only be removed by reverse osmosis systems.

REMOVES: chlorine, sediment, dirt, rust, oxidizing herbicides and pesticides, volatile organic pollutants (chemical pollutants, benzenes, toluene, oils, trichloromethanes, detergents, polychlorinated biphenyls)

When to change filters:

• sediment filter - approximately every 8000 liters of treated water or if clogged
• carbon filter - approximately every 50,000 liters of treated water or depending on its use (see example below*)

* Example usage:

• 1 hour per week (8000l/month) - filter change once every 6 months
• 1 hour a day, 4 days a week (32000l/month) - filter change 1 time in 6 weeks
• 1 hour a day, every day (60,000l/month) - filter change every 25 days
• 30 minutes a day, every day (30,000l/month) - filter change once every 7 weeks

*The replacement time is relative as it depends on the hardness of the water you use.
