These testers feature an amperometric graphite electrode that provides greater measurement reliability because the electrodes do not oxidise. Amperometric EC measurement is based on Ohm’s law, I = V \/ R, where R depends on the distance between the two electrodes and their surface area. Oxidation changes both, affecting accuracy. DiST’s non-oxidising graphite electrodes provide an optimal surface for accurate, reliable results.
