1. OPTIMAL CONTROL, MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY. The Maxi Controller is a modular system * for controlling Dimlux lighting, fan and heating. Controls and monitors CO2, vapor pressure deficit (VPD) and plant temperature depending on selected sensors. The Maxi Controller can control up to 160 Dimlux Expert luminaires or Xtreme ballasts. It can silently turn the lights on or off using a built-in timer. The lighting can also be variably adjusted to the desired output. The controller can adjust the power according to the room temperature. The Dimlux lighting system dims automatically after a certain temperature is exceeded. If the temperature is still too high , the Maxi Controller will turn off all or half of the lights until the desired temperature is reached . Dimlux Expert luminaires or Xtreme ballasts can be connected directly to an outlet. Just enter the times when this will turn on and off and the system is ready to go. The desired lighting intensity can be set using the + and – buttons. The Maxi controller can also work with asynchronous time , for example 10 hours on and 10 hours off. This setting reduces the total cycles by almost 20% . Sunrise and sunset can also be simulated. The Maxi Controller also has a thermostat/hygrostat function. It is also possible to regulate the CO ₂ level in a closed room by means of a highly accurate dual-beam CO ₂ sensor. This CO ₂ sensor is able to control CO ₂ generators and cold CO ₂ installations. * The controller can be expanded to include AUX BOX, FAN/AUX BOX, CO ₂ sensor, CO ₂ Gas Protect sensor, plant temperature camera , humidity sensor and temperature sensor (sold separately).
2. COMPREHENSIVE AND ACCURATE SETTINGS. In addition to the huge 7 levels of dimming , the Dimlux Maxi controller can adjust the luminous flux according to the room temperature. It also facilitates the transition from gradual dimming to continuously variable dimming and thus makes it even easier to achieve the perfect light setting. This is possible by pressing the + and – (brightness) buttons or to set the desired temperature and leave the rest to the Dimlux Maxi controller. When the preset temperature is exceeded, the lights are automatically dimmed or even partially switched off .
3. SENSORS: MEASUREMENT = KNOWLEDGE. Several sensors are available that can be connected to the Dimlux Maxi controller. A temperature sensor and a humidity sensor can be combined with a plant temperature sensor for optimal plant growth. The values obtained from the sensors are then analyzed and combined so that the optimum ratio between temperature, humidity, plant temperature – and thus the vapor pressure deficit – can be achieved.
4. SUNRISE AND SUNSET SIMULATION. Plants do not use photosynthesis until a certain temperature is reached, when the lights are turned on after a dark period, this can be stressful and can affect growth, and condensation can also form which can cause rot. This can be prevented by the Dimlux Maxi controller by slowly turning the Dimlux Expert lighting systems on and off and thus simulating sunrise and sunset.
5. DATALOG FUNCTION. Through the data logging function, it is possible to store all measured values from the controller on a USB stick to view them later in graphic form on your computer. The controller writes all values to the flash drive every minute.
